Pokey-pine? Contrary to the name I’ve coined for it, this fruit is quite useful despite looking like some wild err…berry? pine? Ok, whatever you deem it fit to be called. See those plump red seeds nestled within the pokey shells? Apparently, those seeds are ground to get what we buy as Kesari (kesar/saffron) colour in the market. Interesting no?
